How much copayment for medical expenses is in Japan

Human Resources finished your registration process for Social security, you can get Health Insurance card. You should pay copayments which are 30% of medical expenses if you show the card at reception of hospital.

It usually takes about 2 weeks to be issued the card from your joining date of company. If you receive a medical treatment without HIC, you have to pay all of expenses. In that case, followings are the way to get refund;

・showing the HIC at reception later

・submitting Application for medical expenses to Kyokai-kempo
